I was given a Rockin’ Girl Blogger Award from Poot and Cubby. That is both extremely flattering and a bit surprising….seeing as how I hardly ever seem to actually…um…blog…much as of late. But I’ll take it! Yes, I will. Especially considering the good company she put me with.
Jessica, at Oh, the Joys, made some fancy buttons for the occasion, but since, like I said before, I have been a bit scarce recently….I have had to make a few adjustments to mine….
Instead of….
I need….
I also get to pass this on to five of my favorite Rockin’ Girl Bloggers. Well, then…..
Kelly from Kellementology
Kelly from Diary of the Nello
Momma K from Petroville
Tina from The New Girl
Sarah from Sarah and the Goon Squad
Ladies…er…Rockin’ Girls…you can use the original button or pick from Jessica’s awesome redesigns.

Allow me to piggyback a quick story on this post. The Husband took The Girl swimming at the neighbor’s house tonight. As she was swimming with Neighbor Wife and Neighbor Kids, she began telling them jokes. Mostly knock knock jokes, until……She told a little joke that begins like this…..A piece of string walks into a bar. He walks up to the bartender and says, “Give me a beer,”……..
Now where in the world would she have learned a joke like that? Ahem. Weird.

She must have heard it somewhere, because that is a real joke! The whole thing goes, “A piece of string goes into a bar, and tells the bartender, ‘Give me a beer.’ The bartender tells him, ‘Sorry, but we don’t serve your kind here.’
The piece of string storms out of the bar and paces around a little, getting all upset, muttering to himself, and he gets all tangled up and frazzled and everything.
After a while he goes back into the bar and tells the bartender, ‘Gimme a beer!’
The bartender says, ‘Sorry, but aren’t you that same piece of string that was just in here?’
The piece of string says, ‘No, I’m a frayed knot.’”
(Get it? AFRAID NOT?)

Okay, you really need to come to BlogHer. I must have people who like me there (no, I’m not at all insecure…why do you ask?).

Aw, Mel. It is quite understandable given your circumstances as of late that blogging isn’t exactly a priority. That doesn’t mean you rock any less, though. Rock on, girl!
