So Like…Um…Yeah…

August 10th, 2007 · 3 Comments

Well, I have officially declared this The Summer of The Suck. In a few hours, I will be boarding a plane bound for Western Pennsylvania. Vacation, you ask? Oh, no. My aunt passed away unexpectedly yesterday, and her funeral is tomorrow morning. So…yeah. Now I know these things usually happen in threes (I worked at a large retirement community)…but….if you are, in fact, a family member or friend of mine, I am going to have to respectfully ask that you refrain from dropping dead anytime this summer…hell, anytime this year. Somehow, it got over scheduled, but I am afraid I have met my quota on the whole croaking thing for now, mmmkay?

Although, this isn’t the kind of post I planned on starting off with…Here it is. The new place. Please update your bookmarks, because while I don’t have a bajillion readers, I am pretty fond of you guys, and it would be pretty lonely here all alone. I also have a sub-blog (?) dedicated just to our experiences in homeschooling, if you our interested. It is here. I haven’t gotten any of the posts up there quite yet, what, with everyone dying and all, but I will.

So you went from barely blogging to now having your own domain? You rule! I have been debating about doing this myself (mostly because I wanna use javascript and do other design stuff - I’m so jealous of your google reader widget right now…), but am a bit of a chicken about it.

I love your new home. Very pretty.

Aw, crap. That’s just wrong, sucky, and not fair at all.

Here’s to hoping that Autumn brings some happy changes, instead of the crap that Summer’s been dishing out. Stupid Summer.

(And congratulations on getting your blog migrated. You’re a braver woman than I for taking that on… well, you homeschool your kids, so I guess the “braver than I” bit kind of goes without saying. Anyway, you did an awesome job of it.)

[…] that has been happening lately has forced me to look a subject that I don’t particularly care for straight in the face. And […]
