Were you wondering about my mysterious disappearance from Teh Internets? What do you mean you hadn’t noticed? Well, humor me.
My AC adapter, AKA, the Giver of Life for my laptop, crapped out. Again. Because I own a Dell, none of the “universal” adapters you can pick up at Best Buy, or wherever, work with my temperamental little baby. I was forced into internet exile while waiting for the new power cord to arrive. I did make several half-hearted attempts to access my blog and things from our dinosaur of a desktop, but had to stop, as I could feel my hair growing (and blood pressure rising) as I waited (and waited. and waited. and waited.) for each and every page to load.
But last night, I got the notice from Dell that my package had shipped. Sweet deliverance. But I knew our doorbell is notoriously hard to hear from a lot of places in our house. What if I missed the delivery person?!?! Determined not to miss my package, I left the following note on the door……
And it worked! As I was putting some laundry in the washing machine, I heard the loudest knock ever. And there was the DHL guy with my package. I could have kissed him. But I didn’t. I signed and snatched my package out of his hands so fast, I’m not sure he knew what happened. And I’m back online, baby. Woo hoo. So what did I miss?

Oh, you missed making your eyes sore reading the screen. Not too much else I don’t think, apart from my blog of course.

You could’ve wrote “I’ve been known to put my hands in strange men’s pants, so you could always knock really loudly and take your chances.”
That has a really good chance to work, however given the person that you actually did that to, he might’ve left with your cord.
You probably did the right thing.
Yeah, I’m pretty sure you did the right thing.

What a fabulous idea! What did you miss? Hmm… The firestorm against Bill Maher, other than that, not a whole lot.

I love your sign and do completely understand. I was on the phone with Apple the other day (after a previous session with Time Warner, and an even earlier one with Link Sys). Read: No Internet Connection. Nothing has actually been broken, and no, none of them have ever been able to figure it out.
But I finally fixed it. Myself. Sheesh.
And how much did that adapter set you back? The last time I needed one, it cost 80 bucks! Unbelievable

Wow! That note is a lot more interesting than the usual “Doorbell broken” sign!
