- The fire is still burning about four miles over the hills behind my house. It is 65% contained and looking better every day. It hardly smells like smoke at all…and we actually saw white, fluffy clouds today! The winds are supposed to pick back up on Friday, so we’re hoping it is fully contained before then.
- While spending the night at Mamaw’s, The Boy asked her, “What’s erectile dysfunction?”
- The Boy informed me that, while showering, he used my razor to shave his butt.
- We have a little lizard that is determined to live inside of our house. The Husband and I have put him (her?) back out a total of four times this week. Lizard: You do not want to live in our house. Trust me on this. Heck, most times. I don’t want to live in our house. Stay outside. For real.
- The Husband is going back to Colorado for four days (Four! Days! Gah!) because our renters are deadbeats. If you are our renters and you are reading this…You suck!

Mel, your photos are beautiful! And the updates? Well, I certainly got a chuckle out of the shaved butt. And those Southern California lizards are tenacious. We trapped one in our den under a tupperware bowl years back, and that little guy kept hanging out by the sliding door day after day looking for another opportunity to get himself back in.

*gaffaw* well at least it wasn’t your toothbrush. Boo found mine AGAIN and now I have furry teeth till I go out to buy a new one…… Apparently only *my* toothbrush will do to scrub the sh!t from his anus..

Good to hear the smoke is subsiding. It’s finally smelling normal where we are and it’s actually been chilly. Woot! Great photos, Mel. I’m loving that camera you got and am wondering if Santa will bring one to me.
Although my boyz did crazy things, to my knowledge, none have confessed to shaving his butt. Quite the agile boy.
