Tapped Out

November 15th, 2007 · 11 Comments

Yeah, so I thought I’d keep from clogging up your feedreader by doing the opposite of NaBloPoMo. Forget that posting everyday in November business…I’m a rebel…..I’m not going to post, like…ever. No, really, I just haven’t been feeling it, I guess. Too tired. Too uninspired. Too something. I haven’t even been able to scrape up the motivation to get the update on the Great Debate put up.

I suppose I have good reason to be tired. In the time since my last post, The Husband went back to Colorado for four days to check on our house after our renters broke their lease, leaving me alone to…um…bond….with the kids. We got a new car, because our old (but still beautiful and wonderful) car was seven years old, and had been begging for a new transmission….and chugged gas like a frat boy with a beer bong. I had to get prepared for my first week at a farmer’s market I have started doing for my business. The Girl has been preparing to test for her yellow belt in Tae Kwon Do (this Sunday!). Homeschooling The Boy has been a bit of a struggle lately. (If, “a bit” means “Holy crap! This is freaking killing me!”). And Thanksgiving is suddenly right around the corner. Yikes. I had this great plan to actually send Christmas cards this year. Oh, and also the great plan that the kids and I would make all of the ornaments for the tree this year. Why, oh why do I make these stupid plans? Instead I’m thinking I’ll just curl into the fetal position and hope someone else completes all of my Christmas shopping.

Oh,one thing….The Boy got his braces on today. He has been so cute. Checking out his smile in everything and anything that will show a reflection. In the car, as we were leaving the dentist, he was looking at himself in the blank screen of his PSP (a hand held video game system, for those not in the loop) and he said, “Yep, still a goooooood lookin’ fellow!

Ahhhh, the modesty is overwhelming. He was right, though, he is still a good looking fellow. And shiny. Don’t forget shiny.

Hey, I’m glad someone else is doing the opposite of NaBloPoMo! I’m with ya!

Okay, I’m off to notpost for another fourteen days. The way I see it, we’re just helping our readers not to feel overwhelmed.

P.S.–Oh, yeah, Christmas cards. Dang. I was going to do those, too.

Ah…the glow of those few days of the new braces! I hope it lasts longer, though. My kid who got his on in September is STILL a Crabby Asselton. It’s gonna be a looong two years :)

Good lookin’ fellow…I’m glad he has a positive outlook in this whole braces thing. Now let’s hope he turns the positive attitude toward homeschooling as well.

LOL that remark reminds me SO MUCH of my #1! Way!

A few years back I gave up Christmas cards in exchanged for Happy New Years cards in about mid January.

Hang in there. We’ll keep coming back no matter how long the wait!

I’ve been slappin’ my bloglines thinking the thing was on the blink. I need my fix of craptasticness….. so now I know why. Ahhhh, you are a rebel.

Too just got her first white tip on her black belt and thinks that she is freaking Chuck Norris, so I feel your pain.

Oh and LALALALALALA I’m not listening about how hard it is to homeschool. Boo will be homeschooled when he finishes primary school (dunno the equivalent in the US, middle school? He will be 13) and I am shitting bricks at the thought of it. And I have 4 years before that terrifying ‘opportunity’.

As for the braces, we want PHOTO’s we need to see him in all his handsome shininess.

There’s nothing like being abandoned by our ‘lesser’ halves, albeit for a good reason in your case, to make us suddenly make you see them in a whole new light.

If you’re out of inspiration you might always lighten the load by doing one of those thursday 13 or wordless wednesday thingies. Not had much luck with them myself as I can’t count past three, but someone such as yourself with your incredibly huge brain shouldn’t be bothered with such trifles!
    Cheers

I, too, have thought about making all the ornaments for the Christmas tree, and one year I even attempted hand-making all my Christmas cards! Didn’t go well. I think I still have the cards. Maybe I can just change the dates and send them out this year?
